Symptoms of Anxiety
Anxiety can manifest itself in many different ways, and in this blog we will look at some of the symptoms it can cause, and how it can affect your everyday life. If you believe you may be suffering from anxiety, hypnotherapy– or a Positive Thinking Styles course- can be incredibly helpful in providing tools to better your thinking styles which can in turn relieve you of the affects that anxiety can cause.
Many people suffer from anxiety and / or depression at some point in their lives; sometimes it is triggered by a past event, but this is not always the case. You could be suffering from anxiety for no apparent reason which could be extremely frustrating as you cannot pinpoint why, or where these feelings have come from. Whether an event in your life has triggered your feelings or whether these feelings have come out of the blue, anxiety can be very inhibiting- even debilitating- and can start to control what you do and don’t do in your life. You may stop going out to see friends or worry about social events, you may stop enjoying your hobbies and it may even be affecting you doing your job.
Many people suffer a form of anxiety throughout the winter months, also known as SAD, and although they may be aware that this is caused by darker days and lack of sunlight and that it will improve as the days get lighter, it can still have serious effects on their lives throughout those months.
Symptoms of anxiety can vary hugely and depend on each individual person, but the most common symptoms are headaches, tearfulness, feeling sick or upset stomach, lack of appetite, sweating, difficulty falling or staying asleep, palpitations, tiredness and trembling. All of these can have a hugely negative affect on your life, restricting what you do and where you go. It may also be frustrating that people cannot- or do not- “see” or “understand” this condition, but it is something that should be taken seriously, and it can absolutely be alleviated with the correct treatment.
I see many, many people each year who suffer from anxiety and I know how drastically it can affect lives. Within my sessions I will often use relaxation techniques and a Positive Thinking Styles course to allow you to change your thought patterns, turn negative thoughts and feelings around and free yourself from the restraints and symptoms that anxiety can cause. I will provide you with the tools that you need to allow yourself an anxiety-free life, giving you the opportunities in your life that you deserve.
